The Rider Story
Doug Rider has been restoring classic cars for over 40 years. What started in his family's farmhouse garage in Omemee, Ontario grew into a lifelong passion for antique and classic automobiles — and a place where every car that comes through the door is treated as a piece of history worth preserving.
Over the course of his career, Doug has completed hundreds of restorations spanning American muscle, European sports cars, and pre-war classics. Each project is approached with the same discipline: strip it back, understand what you have, and bring it back to better than factory condition.
In 1994, Doug was awarded the Henry Ford Award for his frame-off restoration of a Model A Ford — one of the most prestigious honours in the classic car world. It was recognition not just of technical skill, but of the patience, research, and respect for original craftsmanship that defines every Rider restoration.
